Arches Watercolour Paper
Made in France on a cylinder mould, this paper has a harmonious natural grain. The long 100% cotton fibres are evenly distributed, making the paper more stable, with very limited deformation, allowing it to absorb a lot of water without warping or causing the colours to bleed.
Exclusive to ArchesŪ, it is sized to the core with natural gelatin, which means it can be scratched without tearing or linting. It also preserves the lustre and transparency of the colours whilst preventing paints penetrating into the thickness of the paper.
This traditionally-made paper features two natural deckle and two torn deckle edges. It is acid-free, no optical brightening agents, offering a warm, almost ivory, tone, and watermarked with "ArchesŪ France ∞".
Ideal for all wet techniques, it is used primarily for watercolour painting, as for ink, gouache and acrylic. ArchesŪ is available in a variety of weights in cold press, hot press and rough.
