This double-filled, #12 duck cotton canvas features threads that are doubled in both the warp (lengthwise) and the weft (widthwise) threads. The weave is tight, giving great strength with a smooth surface. This canvas stands up well to the strain of stretching larger sizes.
Fewer coats of gesso are needed to achieve a very uniform even finish, great for detailed work and glazing. The 100% cotton has a warm off-white to cream colour.
#12 duck measures 11.5 oz/sq yd.
