The latest member of the Opus brush family; the Galiano Watercolour brush is a good brush with plenty of water holding capacity, shape retention and snap at a great price.

Opus Galiano Brushes are a soft-bristled, highly absorbent brush for superior colour laydown. The synthetic hair has similar characteristics to natural hair watercolour brushes. The fibres hold a large amount of liquid like a natural brush, and, based on the pressure of the stroke, can easily spread and snap back to a resilient, sharp point. These brushes are perfect for watermedia applications.

They have the classic short handles for watercolour painting; made of wood with a blue, smooth enamel paint finish, topped with a seamless, nickel-plated metal ferrule and synthetic hairs.

Synthetic hairs are soft and water-retentive with good snap and durability

When I bought my first one, I did not really like it, after using it for some time, I like it more and more, now I have six of this brush and used for all my plein air painting .

I needed a 2 inch flat brush to do a dark sky without leaving stop/start lines and had a recommendation to buy this brush. I absolutely loved using it as it gave a continuous colouring smoothly across the page.
