The Double-Filled canvas is numbered in relation to weight; however, these numbers do not correlate directly to the weight in ounces.

The threads are doubled in both the warp (lengthwise) and the weft (widthwise) threads, and the weave is tight, giving great strength with a smooth surface. Fewer coats of gesso are needed to achieve a very uniform even finish, great for detailed work and glazing. The 100% cotton has a warm off-white to cream colour.

This canvas stands up well to the strain of stretching larger sizes.
